Description
This course is an effective training for expanding your vocal range and gaining control over your voice. It’s designed in such a way that you can safely strengthen your voice at home, even if you do not have a teacher. Plus, it’s a quiet practice so you can train anytime and anywhere. All you need is a drinking straw, and a bottle filled with water.
Straw phonation is a well-known training technique among singers. It is loved for its benefits to the voice. And if, in addition to the straw, we use a bottle filled with water, the outcomes are even higher.
Singing through the straw creates additional pressure and space in your throat and mouth so that your voice works in a balanced and efficient way.
What does this mean for you?
Eliminated muscle clamps in the throat
Reduced weight and tension in your voice
Smooth transition area without breaks
Quick warmup, so you’re ready to go in 10 minutes or so
Balanced breath control and less aspiration in tone
Increased vocal range
High and low notes of better quality
More ring in your voice
And last but not least. You can never hurt your voice when straw phonation warmups.
There are 5 preparatory exercises and 10 melodic exercises in this course: 5 for beginners and 5 for intermediate-level students. Each exercise is performed in a male and female version. You can also download them as the audio tracks. To do this, check the resource folder in each practical lesson.
